Fence Clinic

Sheep are adorable with their naturally wooly coats. With all that wool comes responsibility, though. If you’re considering raising sheep, you should know what it entails to keep them enclosed.

The fencing you choose doesn’t have to be extremely tall to keep your sheep in. Generally, you want to make the fence between 32 to 40 inches tall.

You’ll want to choose a woven wire fence, electric wire fence, or barbed wire fence to keep your sheep in. You’ll want them to have enough room to roam and graze.

We do woven wire and electric, come see how we install, hands on.

Star Island Yoga day

Star Island Yoga day

The FarmHer spends one weekend a year on a yoga retreat in the isle of shoals, at star island. Due to COVID restrictions the 2020 retreat was cancelled.

However being most resilient, some friends and instructors from the retreat came for a day of yoga at the farm. Please feel free to follow the linc of part of our day.

Join four of the Star Island Yoga Retreat’s teachers and two of our dedicated students as we pretend we are on the lawn at the Stone Village, teaching our traditional tag-team opening yoga class of the retreat, where each teacher tags the next one to take over. Just like on Star, nothing is perfect, the sounds of nature and other people drift in and out, and there are bugs on the mats. We hope you share the joy we felt in making this! Until we are together again on our precious island, we are together in spirit.

Teachers in order of appearance: Tristan Boyer Binns, Julia King, Michael Galvin, Theresa St. John-Siegel. Students: Joanne Cottam, Holly Zurer. Filmed with joy and gratitude at Joanne’s farm in Newton, New Hampshire.
